Cabernet Sauvignon ~ Two Moon Vineyard
~ Dry Creek Valley ~
THE
VINEYARD At 1,700'
elevation, Two Moon Vineyard sprawls atop McCray Ridge at the southwestern
edge of the Dry Creek Valley appellation. In 1997, a six-acre Cabernet
block was added to the four-acre Merlot block planted in 1987. The site
typically begins each day in sun-light and enjoys a steady airflow to and
from the Pacific Ocean 15 miles west. The entire vineyard is terraced to
follow the contours of the hillside. Climatic stability allows a long
growing season and helps produce a wine true to the culture of a mountain
vineyard. Austere soils keep tonnage low & create complex, age-worthy
wines.
